New Millennium International Academy
The project was supported by ERASMUS+.
New Millennium International Academy aimed to equip musicians with crucial skills and knowledge that are rarely covered in traditional music education, such as concert organisation, self-promotion, legal and financial management. The project included a mix of in-person and online masterclasses, workshops, and lectures across four countries: Hungary, Spain, Bulgaria, and Austria.
The program delivered 4 masterclasses and 10 workshops/lectures, addressing essential topics such as audition preparation, negotiation techniques, mental health, PR and branding, communication and leadership. We strongly focused on promoting gender equality, diversity, and enabling participation for musicians over 30, who are often excluded from such training opportunities.
Participants received guidance from internationally renowned artists and educators, performed in chamber concerts, and had the chance to network and collaborate across borders. Disadvantaged participants received scholarships and travel support to ensure broad accessibility.
The project fostered international cooperation, initiated new partnerships, and significantly contributed to expanding professional opportunities for musicians in today’s competitive landscape.
The project was coordinated by Cadenza Arts Management.
