New Millennium International Academy – Edition Ruse
From the 6th to the 9th of July 2023, the New Millennium International Academy - Edition Ruse commenced, offering participants a unique opportunity to engage in instrumental masterclasses and workshops through a special fellowship program. The event took place in Ruse, Bulgaria.
A notable highlight of the festival was the concerto competition held on the first day. Each participant was given the chance to showcase their musical abilities and compete for a remarkable opportunity. The competition winners had the privilege of performing as soloists in the first part of the closing concert, alongside the Rousse Philharmonic Orchestra.
The New Millennium International Academy provided a platform for aspiring musicians to hone their skills, learn from renowned instructors, and immerse themselves in a vibrant musical community. This edition in Ruse promised to be an enriching experience filled with exceptional performances, educational sessions, and the opportunity to connect with fellow musicians from around the world.
Several prestigious awards were presented, including prizes generously donated by Cantarelli and the fashion brand Extreme 2010 to Marian Petkov, Preslav Lambev, and Iordanis Santos Mastralexis.
Congratulations to the winners of the Concerto Competition: Iordanis Santos Mastralexis (violin), Alexander Karatodoros (clarinet), and Veronika Ilieva (piano). They rightfully performed as soloists at our closing concert, and we are thrilled to have provided them with such a special opportunity to perform.
Special recognition has also been extended to Marian Petkov and Veronika Ilieva, who will be participating in the New Millennium International Academy's in-person courses in Budapest in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
